The transition classroom emphasizes developing social-emotional skills while helping the children transition from the toddler classroom to a more structured preschool setting. The children are given daily opportunities to explore and learn new skills through reading, writing, math, science and sensory, art, music, fine and gross motor, dramatic play activities, and more! The children will also have daily outside time in our fenced-in play area; weather permitting. Teachers and parents work together to help these children potty train and be ready for the preschool room.
Activities will promote the growth and development of each child according to the MN Early Childhood Indicators of Progress. Each day the classroom teachers document your child's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual progress and discuss this information with parents/guardians during one-on-one biannual conferences.
